A tech company in New York City is actively seeking an experienced Accountant to join their staff as their new Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will:Assist in managing the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate monthly reconciliation of accountsAssist in various accounting functions such as accounts payable analysis, payroll reconciliation, expense report processing, and other ad-hoc general accounting-related tasksPrepare and review journal entries in conformity with established proceduresPrepare and review analysis of various balance sheet and P&L accountsIdentify critical issues that must be raised to a higher level for decision makingLiaise closely with internal departments to ensure all monthly transactions are properly bookedAssess the effectiveness of controls and understand internal control design concepts sufficient in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activitiesIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organizationLead delivery of accounting tasks and projectsAssist with Audit request (Quarterly/Annual US Audit, Non-US Stat Audits)Qualifications:
3+ years of Accounting experienceBachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA certificationsWorking knowledge of Accounting softwareMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical, mathematical, and research skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
4+ years of experience in the Public Accounting and/or Private industrySaaS experienceSage Intacct experience
