Job Description:

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team, supporting a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Administrative Assistant will perform tasks related to Accounts Receivable Technicians, providing both non-technical and technical processing of check refunds in accordance with VA specifications.

Key Responsibilities:Perform both technical and non-technical tasks related to accounts receivable, focusing on the processing of check refunds.Ensure timely and accurate handling of administrative tasks as they relate to accounts receivable processes.Provide support by preparing, verifying, and maintaining financial records and documentation.Use Microsoft Office Suite to generate reports, maintain records, and assist with general office tasks.Communicate effectively in English to provide support to staff and customers, ensuring clarity in both written and spoken communication.Assist in the management of documentation requests from the CO/COR to verify the competency and skills required for the services performed.Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.6 years relevant experience.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic computer knowledge.Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounts receivable or financial processing.Experience working in a government or VA environment.Familiarity with administrative tasks in a financial or accounting setting.Eligibility:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The proposed salary range for this position is $35,000 to $45,000, with a 1099 contractor option available at $32 to $35 per hour.
