About the RoleDoorDash Labs is hiring a generalist software engineer for the autonomy remote assistance team. Our team’s mission is to develop systems that enhance the capabilities of our autonomous vehicles with the help of remote operators. To accomplish that, you will work on user facing clients, networking, wireless communication, video streaming, backend microservices, data pipelines, dashboards, and integration with autonomous systems. You will collaborate closely with motion planning, perception, hardware, operators (users), and product. We are looking for someone to be a core member of a small team that values velocity, flexibility, creativity, and collegiality.

Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or similar
5+ years of industry experience
Strong experience with C++, linux, networking protocols, cellular communication, low latency video streaming, game development, microservice architecture
In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Ability to independently solve problems with high levels of ambiguity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience in the autonomous vehicles domain
