Coordinates operational activities in a laboratory, providing support services to users. Develops and implements policies, procedures, and standards for lab operations to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality control of the laboratory and compliance with federal, state, and university regulations and standards. Coordinates the ordering, inventory, storage, and maintenance of supplies, lab ware, and instruments essential to the operation of the lab.The Engineering Department at Frostburg State University (FSU) seeks applications for a full-time exempt Academic Laboratory Manager. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintenance and Repair:

Ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally, preventing disruptions to experiments and projects.Safety Compliance:

Implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, and providing training on safe lab practices.Equipment Calibration:

Regularly calibrating equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.Technical Support:

Troubleshooting problems, providing guidance, and offering technical support as needed.Inventory Management:

Managing inventory, including ordering supplies, tracking usage, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate’s degree or technical certification in engineering technology or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.To Apply:
