Joining the Secret Service, Office of Training, James J Rowley Training Center will allow you to provide training to criminal investigators and law enforcement officers within the Secret Service.

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $88,520.00) if you possess one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:Implementing guidance for applying security policies, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations with differing degrees/levels of security controls (e.g., Control Tactics; Firearms; Physical Skills; or equivalent investigative/protective methods/techniques);Participating in the design, development, and delivery of training programs and course materials for criminal investigators, law enforcement officers, and administrative, professional, and technical staff;

ANDTeaching criminal investigators or police officers within a training facility in at least one law enforcement specialty area (e.g., Control Tactics; Firearms; Physical Skills; or equivalent investigative/protective methods or techniques).Instructor positions

prefer experience

in the areas of Control Tactics, Firearms, and Physical Skills and/or in the fields of Strength and Conditioning; and/or Sports Medicine; Experience as an instructor in defensive measures/control tactics; and/or Experience as a Firearms Instructor for a local, state, or federal agency.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
