Job Details:

We are currently seeking a seasoned Family Law Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support, spousal support, and property division. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, providing high-quality legal services to our clients while working collaboratively with other team members. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Family Law Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing a diverse caseload of family law matters from inception through conclusion.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
3. Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.
4. Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
5. Providing compassionate and practical legal advice to clients during potentially stressful life events.
6. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
7. Participating in business development activities to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

1. A J.D. degree from an accredited law school and be in good standing with the state bar.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law, with a demonstrated ability to handle a variety of family law matters.
3. Experience with divorce cases, including complex property division and high-conflict custody disputes.
4. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
5. Strong negotiation skills and courtroom experience.
6. The ability to manage a heavy caseload and work well under pressure.
7. A client-focused approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to build and maintain relationships with clients.
9. Proficiency in using legal research databases and other legal software.
