Job Summary
Operates a motor vehicle for the purpose of switching empty and full trailers to and from shipping dock and
yard trailer parking area
Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
These items are considered essential functions for every job at Omaha Steaks (in addition to those listed in the table below):•Demonstrates a consistent positive attitude to support a productive work environment. Cooperates, communicates and works well with coworkers. Treats all employees and customers respectfully.•Adheres to work rules and Company policies including meeting expectations for attendance and punctuality. Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and adheres to safety and security standards in the performance of all job duties, and immediately reports all safety hazards or incidents to a supervisor.
Description of Job DutyDrives yard truck based on a daily needs as determined by shipping requirements. Operates yard truck in a safe and timely manner at all times. Shags trailers on and off docks as required.Verifies the completion of outbound driver bill of lading documentation, noting any discrepancies to OSI Logistics personnel. Places seals on trailers upon completion. Completes all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.Performs other duties as assigned.Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.Performs all other duties as assignedEducational Requirement
High school diploma or equivalentRequired Skills
Ability to operate a Yard TruckAbility to operate power jack equipment.Worker traits
Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculationsGood driving record for 3 yearsGood communications skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to work as a member of a teamWorking knowledge of refrigerated trailers preferredSchedule Requirements:
This is a temporary position for the holiday season. Day and night shifts available. Please plan to work 12 hour shifts, up to 7 days per week, 5am - 5pm (Days) or 5 pm - 5 am (Nights). Peek time is November through the end of December.Special Note:
