General Summary
Our client, a leading firm in the
architecture
and
design
industry, is seeking a meticulous and organized
Project Accountant
to join their Accounting team. The Project Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and provide essential support to the accounting group, handling a variety of tasks to ensure accurate and timely
financial management .
Essential DutiesReview and process
consultant invoices .Resolve outstanding issues with
vendors/consultants .Process payments for consultants and vendors.Review and process
billing invoices , addressing any discrepancies.Generate
field reports .Complete
project setup
and review
project budgets
for accurate
revenue generation .Assist the
Project Manager
and team members as needed.Handle special tasks requested by the department and field.Process contracts for
consultants
and clients.Prepare deposits and process
cash receipts .Provide support for all
accounting managers
as needed.Close projects/tasks after completion for
revenue earnings .Maintain
accounts receivable
to prevent aging.Required Skills and Abilities
MUST have strong
project-based accounting
experience managing a high number of projects from an
accounting perspective .Strong
organizational skills
with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced
and
collaborative environment .Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet
deadlines
effectively.Excellent
communication skills
and a positive attitude.Proficiency in understanding and communicating
complex technical concepts .Ability to work both
independently
and collaboratively within a team.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree
in
Accounting
or a related field.Minimum of
5 years of relevant experience .Preferred experience with
Deltek Vision
