Job Title : TrainerLocation : Remote with travel throughout the US and to CanadaJob Summary/OverviewThe Trainer will engage Company associates, distributors, integrators, & end users, assisting in the development and implementation of Columbus McKinnons training strategy to support of entire portfolio of products.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in maintaining training facilities and in developing curriculum, training aids and workbooks for in-person and online course offeringsCoordinate and conduct various training (including hoist, motor, crane maintenance, crane operator, inspection, rigging, linear motion, etc.) in a classroom and hands-on environment. This training will be conducted at CMCO training facilities, public forums, and customer and end user facilities throughout North AmericaAssist e-commerce team in managing day-to-day activity within our online training storefront, to include but not limited to: assisting customers in various tasks including registration, order changes/updates, troubleshooting, etc.Coordinate and schedule travel, lodging and car rental arrangements associated with training obligationsCollaborate with the sales team to assist and determine the key training needs in support of business objectives.Design in-person and online training programs that directly address business needs, new product, product orientation etc.Deploy a wide variety of training methods & interaction using lecture, hands on, webinars, online, and social media with an emphasis on digital platforms.Monitor and evaluate each training programs effectiveness through evaluations and customer feedback.Resolve any specific problems and tailor programs as necessaryProvide technical support and problem solve in the field and in the officeQuote customers, end users and sales staff on course offerings and pricingMaintain Shopify and LearnUponRepresent Company on various regulatory boards/organizations as assigned.Other duties as assigned by leadership.Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and AbilitiesMust have the ability to read and write technical reportsMust understand basic electrical and mechanical concepts and be able to read wiring diagrams and technical drawingsMust be willing and able to speak in a clear and concise manner to large groups of people for extended periods of timeMust be proficient with Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with digital platforms as it relates to online trainingKnowledge of Shopify, LearnUpon, PowerBI, and SalesForce a plusExperience with instructional design and/or use of Articulate software a plusThe employee performs work-related travel approximately 60% of timeBilingual a plusRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in a job-related major5+ years of technical training experienceEquivalent combinations of experience and education may be consideredAbout Columbus McKinnon:Columbus McKinnon is a leading worldwide designer, manufacturer and marketer of intelligent motion solutions that move the world forward and improve lives by efficiently and ergonomically moving, lifting, positioning and securing materials.
