What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a highly capable Project Accountant to join our dynamic, growing team. As a Project Accountant you will be accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, preparing budget variance reports, maintaining balances, monitor, organize, and analyze monthly cost and schedule data various projects to report control actions to project managers. You will report to the Project Accounting Manager.
Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for full project life cycle which includes construction costing & billing methods, earned revenue, change orders, project budgets, contract compliance, and construction reporting metrics.Analyze project expenses and budget-to-actual reports with the construction project managers to proactively identify potential cost overruns.Ensure timely and accurate project transaction postings such as cost, billings, change orders, budget adjustments, transfers, etc.Ensure timely and accurate filing of lien notices and liens.Monitor project cash flow and identify aging receivables for collections correspondence.Assist with the month-end close process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.Coordinate project closeouts with project managers.Process Subcontractor payments and invoices.Assist with special projects and perform ad hoc project analysis as necessary.
Required Qualifications1-3 years of experience in construction accounting/finance preferred.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field.Proficient with the following software/tools: MS Office and Sage 100.Ability to work at a high proficiency level with a construction system and fast-paced environment, handling demanding deadlines.Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate on projects.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

This is an onsite position based in Carrollton, TX with the flexibility to work from home one day a week.Weekly Monday lunches provided in office.Open floor concept with abundant conference rooms and private cell phone rooms for meetings.Daily snacks and drinks to fuel your creativity and productivity.
