If so, this is your dream job. The Foggy Dog is looking for a creative, enthusiastic Social Media Content Creator who is passionate about creating compelling digital content that celebrates the bond between humans and their dogs and showcases The Foggy Dog’s line of pet apparel and accessories.In this role, you will be responsible for producing captivating videos and other content for organic and paid social media. You will work closely with our marketing and design teams to create content that aligns with our brand voice, resonates with our audience, and supports our overall marketing strategy.This contract position is 8-10 hours a week, 1-2 days a week in our San Francisco, CA office and reports to our Social Media Manager.Key Responsibilities:Content Production:
Create engaging and high-quality video and static content for our paid ads, social media channels, website and blog. This includes capturing content at our headquarters in San Francisco as well as attending local photoshoots and events for behind-the-scenes footage.Content Strategy:
Collaborate with the marketing team and digital marketing agency to develop and execute content strategies that drive traffic, engagement, conversions and lower CAC.Research:
Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, audience interests, and competitive landscape to inform content creation.Copywriting:
Write scripts and digital ad copy that is fun, light-hearted, and clever. Review and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and style, ensuring consistency with our brand voice and messaging.Video and photo editing:
Create engaging, eye-catching video content that aligns with current trends and captivates our audience. You should have a strong understanding of trending music, effective transitions, and how to incorporate attention-grabbing copy callouts. Strong editing skills are also essential, ensuring all visual content fits seamlessly with our brand aesthetic.Analytics:
Execute against the data and insights on content performance pulled by our Social Media Manager.Collaboration:
Work closely with our graphic designer, social media manager and marketing coordinator to produce multimedia content and enhance overall content quality.Qualifications:1-2 years of proven experience as a content creator, writer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.Must have your own dog, as well as a love for The Foggy Dog's brand and our products.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Strong creative abilities with a knack for storytelling and crafting engaging content that resonates with different audiences.You are a digital native with a strong pulse on what’s trending online.You are comfortable directing behind the camera, but also shine in front of the camera.Familiarity with basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).Ability to analyze content performance data and make strategic recommendations based on insights.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.You have a high level of attention to detail and pick up on the nuances that make our brand our brand.Positive and can-do with a willingness to roll up your sleeves & take on any task that’s needed.
