Job Summary
The Oxnard Adult School, part of the Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD), is actively recruiting for two Part-time Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Instructors.
ABOUT THIS POSTING:The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Instructor is responsible for participating in the planning, organization, and implementation of education and clinical development of Nursing Assistant students. The CNA Instructor will provide learning activities that enable students to develop the knowledge and skills needed for employment as a Certified Nurse Assistant. This class uses the CA State curriculum to prepare students for certification as a CNA and includes both theory and clinical instruction. The clinical experiences are at a local nursing home/long-term care facility. The instructor is responsible for following all state mandates for CNA training including compliance with state-approved curriculum, instruction calendar, and required documentation (175-180 hours per program).
Days/Times: Schedule to be determined by the CNA Program Director in collaboration with the CNA Instructor (following CDPH guidelines)
Schedule:•Part-time hours vary from 12-18 hours per week depending on the program schedule•Flexible, morning or evening program schedule
Requirements / QualificationsTwo (2) years of nursing experience as an RN or LVN (required)•One (1) of the two years must be verifiable experience as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting.For additional requirements, please refer to the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Instructor job description.
