Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Systems Administrator
to support their research computational infrastructure. This position involves managing Dell, IBM, and HP servers, administering Linux (including HPC clusters using SLURM) and Windows environments, and handling enterprise data storage and web servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to IT security, ensuring the safety and privacy of research data, and be able to swiftly address critical issues as they arise.Key Responsibilities:Administer Linux (including HPC SLURM) and Windows servers.Manage Dell, IBM, and HP servers, ensuring optimal performance.Maintained and managed enterprise data storage systems and web servers.Provide technical support to users through ticketing systems.Perform regular updates on storage, virtualization, and SLURM cluster systems.Ensure IT security best practices are followed, including maintaining system backups and securing research data.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the overall health of the IT infrastructure.Required Skills:Extensive experience with Dell, IBM, and HP server hardware.Strong proficiency in
Linux server administration , particularly in
HPC SLURM clusters .Experience in
Windows server administration , especially in
Active Directory
environments.Familiarity with enterprise virtualization systems (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Expertise in
web server administration .Strong understanding of IT security best practices.Preferred Skills:Hands-on experience with
enterprise data storage administration .Knowledge of
cloud computing
and storage management.Experience with
container systems
and
computing clusters .Familiarity with commodity server-class hardware.Educational Requirements:Master’s degree with 1 year of IT work experience, orBachelor’s degree with 2 years of IT work experience, orA relevant combination of education and experience.About Golden Technology:
