Work Schedule:
Work schedule is typically 12 hours per day with weekend coverage based on individual unit needs and call based on departmental/unit needs. Personnel may be expected to cover for patient care needs by rotating or working extra shifts. Nursing personnel are assigned to one area upon employment but may be required to assume assignments in other areas to meet patient needs.
Who you are:
CMC is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) dedicated to deliver care and create a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex by utilizing the nursing process. To carry out functions in a manner consistent with Performance Improvement and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. To demonstrate clinical excellence through proficient practice which enhances and enriches the practice environment. Proficiency is evidenced by adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty.
What you'll do:
• Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status, intervening preemptively to manage potential crises. And provide patient-centered care with sensitivity to cultural and developmental needs. • Collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and holistic patient care. And facilitate patient education and support the transition of care through the continuum. • Documents plan of care, assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in an electronic medical record thoroughly, accurately, and according to CMC Professional Nursing Practice Standards and ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. • Adheres to all safety, organizational and ethical standards according to ANA Code of Ethics.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
• Ability to perform job alone following standard practices and any of several procedures as defined by the American Nurses Association's Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and the NH State Board of Nursing, but refer questionable cases when they arise out of standard practice. • Graduate of a school of nursing required, accredited school preferred. o BSN strongly preferred. • Specialty certification preferred. • Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse. • Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) qualifications during orientation period and maintain during employment. • Certifications per unit requirements: Refer to Education, Credentialing and Certification Policy.
