Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

As an Occupational Therapist for Catholic Medical Center, you believe in creating spaces that foster healing and comfort for our patients and their families. You play a pivotal role in providing a calm, nurturing and supportive environment, ensuring the well-being and progress of our patients.

What you'll do:

Plan and implement specific treatment programs for patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy and in collaboration with the health care teamEvaluate the skilled occupational therapy needs of the referred patient.

Conduct chart review and obtain patient history informationExamine the patientIdentify the problems.Develop a written plan of care.Establish measurable goals with time frames when treatment is indicated

Re-evaluate patient status and adjusts the problems, treatment plan and goals in accordance to the findings.Determine appropriate need for assistive devices, durable medical equipment, and orthotic/prosthetic needs.

Fit patient for assistive devices, home medical equipment and orthotic/prosthetics needs as available within the departmentInstruct patient and family / significant other (SO) in the use of home medical equipment, adaptive equipment and / or home exercise program.

Deliver patient care in a manner that is appropriate to the demographics and/ or specific needs of the patient population served by the hospital. In addition, demonstrate proficiency in assessing, responding and adapting treatment of care to meet the needs of the patient population served by the hospital.Work schedule:

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

New graduate will be considered - Acute Care experience requiredGraduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Program

Bachelors, Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree

Must be licensed in the State of New Hampshire as an Occupational Therapist by the NH Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals (or ability to obtain one prior to hire)American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredMust be knowledgeable of the AOTA Code of Ethics and the state licensure law and practice act.Who we are:
