About Our Client:
Addison Group is seeking a talented Project Accountant for our client in the construction industry. With an increasing volume of government projects, this organization is looking to expand its accounting team.
Job Description:
As a Project Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and collaborating with project teams to maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee job costing and project accounting functions.Process and analyze change orders, back charges, and related financial documentation.Generate and distribute monthly job cost reports to team members and stakeholders.Prepare close-out packages for completed projects.Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and owner requisitions.Handle accounts payable, focusing on subcontractor and vendor payments.Provide training to project managers on using accounting software and reporting tools.Support annual audits and assist with various accounting tasks as needed.Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in a construction accounting environment.Familiarity with Sage 300 (Timberline) and Procore is highly desirable.Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills.High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.Additional Details:
Full-time in-office position, 5 days a week (no hybrid options).Located in Rockville, MD (parking available).Work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM.No vaccination requirement.Perks:
