XR Radiological Technologist

Under the direction of the technical supervisor, the ARRT certified, California-licensed technologist performs radiologic procedures in assigned areas at a safe and technical level not requiring constant supervision. The technologist will perform safe imaging procedures on all emergent, inpatient, and outpatient age-specific populations. Diagnostic procedures include, but are not limited to, basic radiographic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment in various settings such as Outpatient/Inpatient, OR/Hybrid, ER, fluoro, and Endoscopy.
Responsibilities include:Performing various radiographic exams and processing images on various archival systems.Submitting high-quality images to PACS.Participating in performance improvement activities in the department.Demonstrating excellent customer service to patients.Correctly identifying patients for the procedures performed and their respective images.Following Infection Control policies, radiation policies, and good body mechanics.Maintaining appropriate continuing education credits.Complying with all Medical Center and Department policies and procedures.
Minimum requirements include ARRT, CRT, and California fluoroscopy license. New hires must not perform any radiology procedures until they receive their license (CRT) from the State of California. New hires may begin their orientation to the department, observe procedures, and assist during this time period, which is not to exceed 6 months. New hires must receive their California fluoroscopy license within the first 6 months of employment or probationary period. Depending on department needs, this position may require you to take weekday, weekend, or holiday call.
Per diem employees must work at least an average of four shifts per month to maintain equipment and procedure competencies and per diem eligibility.
