Position Summary:
The University of New Mexico Information Technologies Office of the CIO is currently seeking two (2) Information Technology (IT) Officers. One IT Officer will work with Institutional Support Services (ISS) Administration and the second IT Offer will work with Athletics and UNM Police Department. The IT Officers coordinate the management and development of IT services for the respective departments.
As a seasoned IT manager, this position works with IT resources to ensure that specialized systems and solutions are managed to meet the needs and priorities for their respective clients. Associated duties include managing IT employees, providing insight into IT investment priorities, and serving on department and UNM technology committees. The IT Officer will also help ensure the adoption of campus-wide systems and solutions that are effective, efficient, and add value to departmental operations.
IT Officers are the foundation of UNM's IT Campus Outreach & Engagement unit and report to the Associate Director. The IT Officer receives operational direction from department administration. The matrix management design of Campus Outreach and Engagement ensures that IT Officers have access to campus-wide resources to better support their area in a manner that contributes to UNM's IT effectiveness and efficiency initiative.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
