to apply!SUMMARYBering Global Solutions (BGS), LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking a skilled and motivated intermediate level Database Analyst/Programmer to join our Human Performance Optimization Contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with designing, developing, and maintaining databases that collect, store, and analyze data related to human performance. He/she will be responsible for writing code in a variety of program languages, developing and testing computer programs. Determine problems, provide solutions to issues that arise, upgrade systems, maintain systems, and brainstorm possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future. Your duties will include designing the basic computing infrastructure to accomplish software requirements, assist in the definition, development, and documentation of customer system requirements. Create procedures for system management and troubleshooting issues. This role is critical in supporting the US Air Force mission to optimize pilot readiness and effectiveness through data-driven insights and advanced analytics.Hampton, VA (Hybrid Remote, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Other duties may be assigned.Key Responsibilities:Database Design and Development:Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure databases to support the collection and analysis of human performance data.Develop data models and database schemas that accommodate a variety of data sources, including physiological, cognitive, and operational performance metrics.Familiar with or the ability to understand human performance optimization dataset.Data Integration and Management:Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to manage the flow of data into and out of the database systems.Data Analysis and Reporting:Collaborate with data analysts and performance specialists to create and maintain data reporting tools and dashboards.Develop SQL queries and scripts to extract meaningful insights and generate reports that inform training and performance optimization strategies.Experience and knowledge using programming and scripting languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.).System Optimization:Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and addressing issues related to speed, storage, and reliability.Implement database security measures to protect sensitive performance data.Collaboration and Support:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including human performance specialists, data analysts, and vendors, to ensure database solutions meet program needs.Ability to be flexible and adaptable regarding customer needs and technology.Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and solutions oriented.Team collaborator that works well within a team and independently.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high functioning environment.Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.Provide technical support and training to team members on database-related issues and best practices.Documentation and Compliance:Maintain comprehensive documentation of database structures, processes, and protocols.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational policies.Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
