Position Summary:Under the direction and supervision of the director of information technology, the systems Integration manager is responsible for overseeing the seamless integration of various systems and technologies within the virtual school environment. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated systems to enhance operational efficiency and support the educational objectives of the school. The Systems Integration Manager collaborates with multiple departments to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with the school's strategic goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and manages integration strategies for diverse systems including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and other educational technologiesCoordinates with different departments to identify integration needs and ensure seamless data flow across platformsImplements and manages APIs and middleware solutions to facilitate system interoperabilityMonitors and troubleshoots integration issues, providing timely resolution to minimize disruptionsConducts regular audits of integrated systems to ensure data integrity and performance optimizationLeads system integration projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet defined goals, timelines, and budgetsDevelops project plans, set milestones, and manage resources effectivelyCommunicates project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with school objectivesCollaborates with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure successful integration and performance of external systemsProvides technical support and guidance to staff and students on integrated systemsDevelops and delivers training programs to ensure end users are proficient in using integrated technologiesCreates and maintains documentation for integration processes and best practicesPerforms regular maintenance and updates to integrated systems to ensure optimal performance and securityStays current with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on the school's systemsPlans and executes system upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to operationsWorks closely with the IT team and other departments to identify opportunities for system enhancements and innovationFosters a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and suggestions from stakeholdersEnsures that integration solutions are scalable and adaptable to future technological advancements and school growthOther Duties
Responds to non-urgent communication within 24 school hours and urgent communication within two school hoursDocuments and refers to the school's management, all formal disciplinary actions involving students; supporting management with addressing and resolving complaints from students and parents in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with the provisions of California Penal Code Section 11166 (Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act)Perform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS GUIDE

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or a related fieldA minimum of five years of professional experience in systems integrationProven experience managing and overseeing school-wide information technology systems and operationsStrong knowledge of cloud-based platforms, servers, systems, storage, and data backup & restoreExcellent project management skills and the ability to lead a team of IT professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetExperience in a homeschool/independent study model is highly desirableOther Qualifications:
State and federal fingerprint clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Ed. Code 44237). No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and the Human Resources Manager notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance.Proof of a clear TB Tine test or signed Certificate of Completion dated within the last 60 days (Ed. Code 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four yearsHold and maintain a valid California Driver's License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations.Knowledge:
