Job Title: Senior Network Administrator
Responsibilities of the Senior Network Administrator EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Network Administrator onsite in Radford, VA or Ft. Belvoir, VA. In this position, you will focus on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools in a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks. Your responsibilities will include network management, analysis, troubleshooting, developing, and maintaining local operating procedures and policies, developing, and maintaining network automation and scripts, and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network.
The Senior Network Administrator will: Implement and sustain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools. Conduct thorough network management, analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance. Develop and maintain local operating procedures, policies, and network automation scripts to enhance network functionality and efficiency. Monitor network operations continuously, identifying and addressing issues proactively. Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in network management tasks. Develop and implement robust security management strategies, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and practices. Produce comprehensive project documentation such as standard operating procedures, project plans, and detailed network diagrams. Qualifications: Master's degree with 10+ years of related work experience or Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related work experience. 5+ years of configuring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools. Experience with network management, analysis, and troubleshooting tools. Experience with Data Center Management. Ability to train junior team members. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies (DISA STIGs experience preferred but not required). Computing Environment (CE) Certification Professional Level or higher (i.e., Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCNP Datacenter, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, etc.). CompTIA Security+ Certified Active Security Clearance
