POSITION SUMMARYProvide support to end users throughout the enterprise for information technology issues. Address technology usage questions and problems.Install and maintain computer hardware and software, printers and peripherals.Mentor, train and assist less experienced team members.Requires independent work, sharing information and assisting coworkers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

User support for various technology platforms, including computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, e-mail, productivity and specialized applications, etc.Train end users and author documentation.Respond to telephone, email and other requests for technical support. Document, track, and monitor problems through resolution using applicable systems and tools.On-call support of critical systems.Install and maintain computers and other information technology and ensure their proper operation.Maintain accurate asset tagging, tracking and inventory records.Support the Help Desk as a central point of contact for issue triage and resolution or subsequent escalation and assignment to appropriate tier support personnel.Coordinate with coworkers to resolve issues and lead on those of higher difficulty.Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of experience supporting users in varied environments with a primary emphasis on personal computers running Microsoft Windows in a networked environment.Proficiency in multiple relevant competencies including PC Hardware, Microsoft Windows, and various applications.Ability to perform project work both independently and within teams.SPECIAL SKILLS

Logical approach to problem solving.Strong interpersonal and customer skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office and shop environment, which includes travel to plant sites; use of personal protection equipment; hazards and conditions typically associated with a manufacturing environment.
