Possesses an advanced degree of experience and familiarity with the Infor XA ERP system and its application in a manufacturing environment, specializing in many modules. Provides daily support to end-users utilizing Infor XA ERP and related business systems. Makes recommendations regarding software to meet business needs. Manages software development and implementation projects with minimal supervision, performing programming tasks as required.Key Duties:Major Duties and Responsibilities:Provides support to the daily operations of the IT Department as needed.
Will assist with help desk related issues as needed.
Ability to establish and support EDI communications with EDI Business Partners utilizing TrustedLink and Infor XA Electronic Commerce module.Mentors, trains and assists with the development of other team members.Assist and work with internal/external auditors to fulfill Regulatory/ISO/SOX requirements.Works with Global Locations and departments to identify Business Process inefficiencies, recommends solutions, leads and implements improvements.Project Management:
Works with key stakeholders at all levels for the entire project life cycle to deliver projects on time and within budget with guidance from IT Management. This includes gathering requirements, defining solutions, ensuring solution aligns, with business objectives, system design and configuration, working with end-users to ensure program design meets the defined requirements, training and go-live support.
Modify programming code in existing 3rd Party application programs including INFOR XA to meet business requirements and needs. Testing programs before delivering to end users. 3rd Party Programs can be written in RPG, RPGILE and RPG Free.Design and develop, based on gathered requirements, new stand-alone programs utilizing RPG Free, CLLE, Report Layout Utility, INFOR XA Enterprise Integrator.Analyze, test and Debug new or existing programs, ensuring they meet specified requirements.Develops and implements formal testing protocols of business processes.Installs vendor supplied software and program fixes/updates per vendor instructions and SOPs.Maintain excellent communication skills both orally and written.Creates documentation in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.Provides training to end users on the use of technology to support business processes.Investigates proposed software applications for conformity to requirements.Provides, as needed, on call support for the organization ERP application.Other duties as assigned:Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the workday in a multi-location facility.Ability to work on PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the workday.Must be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday.Ability to stand, stoop, reach and bend throughout the course of the work shift.May be required to sit for long periods of time through the course of the work shift.Ability to travel by air/car to other company locations as necessary to fulfill project requirements.Qualifications:Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required/Preferred:Bachelors degree in a Computer Science Major highly preferred, or equivalent directly relevant experience.Minimum of 8 years of experience with business applications in an IT role.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Infor INFOR XA (MAPICS) or equivalent ERP.
Experience in an FDA or ISO environment is desirable.Competencies Required or preferred:Working knowledge of INFOR XA (MAPICS) or equivalent experience in other INFOR ERP systems, strongly preferred.Proficient with the Infor Development Framework (IDF).Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Has working understanding of EDI.Possesses a thorough understanding of the iSeries OS and DB2.A thorough understanding of the RPGLE, RPG Free, CLLE programming languages.Working knowledge of SQL and XML.Ability to read understand and follow all company SOPs and guidelines.Good working knowledge of General Business concepts.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and colleagues in a cross functional setting.Ability to train end users in the use of technology.Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and have ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements.Ability to provide technical support on non-standard shifts and weekends to resolve programming issues or project work that would otherwise interfere with production.Required Travel %:0-20% (depending on work location: if remote, travel at least once per quarter to corporate office will be required)*We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran.
