Description: Work closely with Project Manager, Business Analysts, and users to understand requirements and design systems. Develop work plans for application development projects' design, construction, and implementation phases. Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance. Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications. Oversee application troubleshooting and problem resolution. Develop unit and system testing plans. Participate in developing user training material. Enterprise application environment includes, but is not limited to, the following: Infor XA (MAPICS) and custom-developed enhancements (ERP). Cloud implementation IBM iSeries Query design/debugging support. Paylocity American Presence Secure FTP System Link Tool Kit (SLTK) BIRST Business Intelligence Evaluate new technologies and how to utilize them to make processes more efficient. Capture, mitigate and /or escalate issues in a timely fashion. Requirements: Programming Languages and Skills: Algorithm Coding Data Structure HTML and CSS JavaScript SQL and NoSQL API Python RPG Business Intelligence tools This position requires hands-on application development in RPG, SQL coding, and Integrator. Training can be provided for the right candidate. Experience developing web services and/or experience with APIs (REST/SOAP/MetaData, etc.) is preferred. Experience analyzing/debugging daily production problems and supporting other users. Ability to interpret user requirements and develop highly functioning and efficient software is paramount to the success of IT. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 4-year degree preferred, Associate or 5 years' experience required Work history in Manufacturing or Distribution preferred.
