Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting and implementing technical solutions that optimize business value and enhance patient experiences within the healthcare system. The Data Integration Architect will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including vendors, developers, and clinical teams, to design and implement integration solutions, particularly focused on enterprise API integration and HL7 standards. The individual will play a pivotal role in moving the organization from Cloverleaf to Intersystems Health Connect, ensuring seamless interoperability across healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop a deep understanding of a specific technical area and produce architectural documentation.

•Implement technical solutions supporting digital strategies to deliver business value.

•Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.

•Design and develop data flow diagrams and workflows for system interoperability.

•Mentor developers on HL7 standards and integration methodology.

•Ensure solutions meet regulatory, legal, ROI, and integration requirements through collaboration with vendors.

•Facilitate architectural innovation and experimentation.

•Reduce cost and technical debt while contributing to enterprise architecture practices.

•Support escalations and ensure after-hours availability for critical issues.

•Perform routine audits of integration processes to ensure adherence to best practices.

Essential Functions:

•Develop deep knowledge of a specific technical area and ensure architectural solutions align with business objectives.

•Create and implement technical solutions that support the digital strategy of the organization, contributing to business value.

•Identify and resolve technical problems related to integration and architecture.

•Work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to ensure technical solutions are built according to specifications.

•Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain seamless system operations.

•Identify opportunities for innovation within the technical domain and drive experimentation to enhance system efficiency.

•Implement solutions that reduce costs and technical debt within the organization.

•Contribute to enterprise architecture practices by developing standards, policies, and procedures that align with technical goals.

•Provide after-hours and weekend support for escalated integration and system issues.

Required Qualifications:

•Epic Bridges Certification.

•Intermediate knowledge of technical areas related to healthcare, HL7 standards, and system integration.

•Proficiency in developing architectural documents and diagramming data flows.

•Experience in healthcare system interoperability, specifically working with Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf or Intersystems Health Connect.

•Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Additional Skills/Requirements (Required):

•Intermediate skill to engage and quickly build understanding of the technical area in which they operate.

•Intermediate knowledge of technologies (past, current, emerging) that support business capabilities within scope of engagement and partnership for a given technical area.

•Intermediate knowledge of information technology design principles and practices.

•Basic knowledge of information technology frameworks (ISO, COBIT, ITIL, etc.).

•Basic diagramming skills (process, component, entity, logical, physical).

•Ability to develop requirements definition and evaluation.

•Basic writing, speaking, and presenting skills.

•Intermediate problem-solving skills.

•Intermediate communication skills, with emphasis on translating business requirements into technical specifications.

Additional Skills/Requirements (Preferred):

•Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, IASA).

•Intermediate knowledge of HL7 standards and understanding of integration methodology and architecture.

•Ability to work with vendors to craft, document, and verify solutions for interoperability which meets regulatory, legal, ROI, and integration requirements.

•Ability to mentor and train developers in HL7 standards and integration methodology.

•Knowledge of Epic Bridges.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Ability to diagram data flows and workflows.

•Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure.

Primary Skills:

•Enterprise API integration.

•Transition from Cloverleaf to Intersystems Health Connect.
