Our foodservice business supplies many of the top restaurant chains in the United States.Overview:Note: This position may be filled on any of the following shifts: 7AM-3:30PM M-F, 11AM-7:30PM M-F, 11PM-7:30AM M-FThe QA Analyst position is key in maintaining the quality of incoming ingredients, in line product, and finished product. This person shall report any non-conformance of finished product to the QA Supervisor or Manager.Responsibilities:Collect samples of ingredients, products or packages and monitor test according to established proceduresMonitor processes to ensure they are operating consistentlyDocument neatly and precisely all resultsLabel and maintain samples of ingredients and samples for retains and shelf life monitoring organize collected data for management reviewMaintain lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashionCommunicate non-compliant results immediately to managementMonitor plant for compliance to GMPsRecommend methods to improve processes to reduce waste, improve productivity, improve quality and/or consistencyAccurately weigh colors, flavors and other small ingredientsTest R&D samples for Food Safety & specification development.Qualifications:AS or BS in science related field preferredBasic science skills; math, accurate data collection, general lab, and computer data entryAbility to follow detailed instructions.Make and record observations and efficiently organize work tasks and time.Effective written and oral communication skills.Be able to work and contribute in a team environment.Previous quality assurance experience preferredAbility to work independently on pre-assigned tasksAbility to react and make decisions on Food Safety or Quality deviationsBasic understanding of the key testing attributes measured daily in the jobCompetencies:Communicates EffectivelyInstills TrustSelf-DevelopmentEnsures AccountabilityNimble LearningAction OrientedDrives ResultsWorking Conditions/Environment:Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, lift, reach, and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to stand up for an 8 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks. Earplugs, hairnets and steel-toed shoes are required per company and plant GMP and Safety requirements.
