Team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to understand project requirements and develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nations most pressing challenges. Our employee owners support our customers by:Understanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environmentPlanning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of productsMaintaining and evolving software architectures and external interfaces to expand capabilities of models and simulationsSupporting flight test analysis, planning, and executionThe successful candidate will be an adaptable, agile, experienced software test engineer who is a consummate team player focused on the testing and quality of software systems in support of DoD weapon systems. The candidate will work with the Mission Assurance Team, the Product Owner, and the Software Development Team to define test strategies, identify vulnerabilities, and develop software testing suites. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and will possess effective communication skills.Duties Include:Develop and implement comprehensive software test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specificationsPerform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on softwareIdentify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking toolsCollaborate with software developers and other stakeholders to resolve defects and ensure high-quality software releasesDevelop methods to automate repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and coverageParticipate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.Conduct risk assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing and quality assuranceQualifications:Required Skills/Experience:3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assuranceProficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium)Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologiesExperience with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Solid familiarity with common programming languages (e.g., C#, Python) and scriptingExperience using vulnerability assessment tools (e.g. Fortify, OWASP)Experience in quality assurance during the software development and deployment stagesSound oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly present and communicate testing approaches and findings to the teamExperience working in an integrated development environment and using tools like Git, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOpsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environmentTravel: up to 5 %Must be a U.S. CitizenAn active DoD

Secret

clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active

Secret

clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years of progressively complex experience in software test, analysis, and quality assurance.

A relevant masters degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience

Desired Skills

:Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Development pipelines

Experience with Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps)

Experience in the use of Fortify Software

Experience using one or more automated testing frameworks
