Required:•Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Charleston, WV (required);•Experience with the maintenance and management of DB2 database systems (5+ years);•Experience in managing permissions to a DB2 database (5+ years);•Experience with providing assistance to programming staff in debugging triggers, procedures, functions, and packages (5+ years);•Experience with optimizing SQL execution for DB2 SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers (5+ years);•Experience in Data Modeling (5+ years);•Experience developing and performing disaster recovery procedures (5 + years);

Responsibilities

include but are not limited to the following:•Manage and maintain DB2 database systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of the database infrastructure.•Administer and manage database permissions and security policies, ensuring appropriate access control measures are enforced to safeguard data.•Provide technical assistance to development teams in debugging triggers, procedures, functions, and packages to ensure efficient and accurate database operations.•Optimize the execution of DB2 SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to enhance system performance and reduce latency.•Design, implement, and maintain data models to support business requirements, ensuring that the database structure aligns with organizational needs.•Develop, test, and implement disaster recovery procedures for DB2 databases to ensure business continuity and data integrity in case of system failures.•Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize resource utilization and maintain system efficiency.
