Insight Global is hiring a Defect Integration Manager for a leading Semiconductor company in San Antonio, Texas. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Defect Integration Manager to join our dynamic team. The Defect Integration Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the client's products through effective defect management and continuous improvement initiatives. The Defect Integration Manager will lead a team of defect engineers and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and eliminate defects in the products and processes of our client.
Day-To-Day:- Lead, train, and mentor a group of 2 engineers and 6 technicians tasked with all aspects of defect reduction in the wafer fab.- Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.- Develop and implement defect management strategies and procedures to identify, track, and resolve defects in products.- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the defect engineering team and with all relevant fab teams.- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure defect rates and drive continuous improvement efforts.- Lead the investigation of defects, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective and preventative action plans.- Collaborate with Integration, Process, Equipment , Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer teams to ensure defect resolution, excursion control, and drive CIP activities.- Identify opportunities for process improvements to prevent future defects and enhance product quality.- Implement best practices and lean methodologies to optimize defect management processes.- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to gather and analyze defect data.- Generate reports and insights to support data-driven decision-making.- Maintain detailed records of defects, their resolutions, and lessons learned.- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, working teams, and customers on defect trends and improvements.- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.- Participate in audits and assessments as needed.

To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/ .- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mat Sci, Chemical Engineering or related fields- 5+ years of experience in defect engineering or quality management in the Semiconductor industry.- Direct experience and understanding of defect metrology tools including but not limited to Brightfield, Darkfield, low angle laser scattering detection tools as well as classification and characterization tools such as SEM review, EDX, or other relevant toolsets.- Experience in defect analysis and root cause analysis methodologies (e. g., Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, Models based Problem solving).- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software including but not limited to Klarity/Klarity Ace and JMP.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations applicable to the industry.
