Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst to join our client’s banking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and analyzing business requirements, improving business processes, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders. You will work closely with various departments including IT, operations, and finance to ensure that banking projects align with business goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis : Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements. Conduct detailed analysis to define clear and concise requirements for IT and operations teams.
Process Improvement : Evaluate and recommend improvements to business processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with banking regulations.
Stakeholder Management : Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure that project objectives are met. Facilitate effective communication and manage stakeholder expectations.
Data Analysis : Analyze data to support business decision-making. Provide insights that drive improvements in customer experience, cost efficiency, and revenue generation.
Project Documentation : Create and maintain project documentation including business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and test cases.
Risk & Compliance : Work closely with risk management and compliance teams to ensure all banking processes adhere to regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, and other industry standards.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Coordinate and support UAT, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and are delivered with quality.
Training & Support : Assist in the creation of training materials and provide post-implementation support to end users.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services sector.
Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, Basel III).
Experience with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools like Excel, SQL, or data visualization software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or relevant certifications in banking or finance.
Experience with core banking systems, digital banking platforms, or financial technology (FinTech).
Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45 to $50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
