The Allied Health Program Facilitator, Recruiter, and Academic Advisor will focus on student recruitment, advising, and mentoring to facilitate program success and expansion. The advisor/mentor role will provide academic advising for students that intend to apply for Allied Health selective admission programs and to assist them in reaching their educational goals once in the program. The recruiter role is expected to develop and coordinate prospective student outreach programs including visiting local medical facilities and high schools to promote Allied Health programs. The Allied Health advisor/recruiter will provide information to potential students about various college resources, assist students with understanding college policies, the selective admission application process and job opportunities.

Job Duties:

Assists in recruitment efforts for Allied Health programs.Maintains files of perspective program students.Provide advising to students and perspective students interested in allied health programs across all campuses. Help facilitate student awareness of all resources available and required to enhance their educational journey to success.Provides assessment of student academic needs. Mentors "at risk" students.Coordinate visits to various campuses, local high schools, and medical facilities as needed.Conduct parent meetings; facilitate workshops and pre-admission conferences to disseminate information to potential allied health program students.Assist in developing advertising and communication tools to distribute to prospective students.Communicate with special interest groups outside of BCTC who are seeking academic advising information about health programs.Serve on committees and work groups related to advising.Support accountability and institutional effectiveness by developing, implementing, and assessing effective procedures that support college operations and foster student success.Submit monthly reports regarding recruitment and advising statistics.Participate in initiatives to improve communication within departments in the college involving recruitment and academic advising.Assist in improving communication with faculty/staff/students regarding allied health programs and advising related issues.

Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (related field) and four-years related experience, or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in related field and four-years related experience, or equivalent.Additional Skills Requested:
