Accounting Manager

Our client in Meriden, CT is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join their growing team. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions. Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Meriden, CT - on-site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Oversee the preparation of documentation for external audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, helping to foster a high-performing team as the Accounting Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience, including 1-2 years in a managerial role as an Accounting Manager or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
