We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our thriving food manufacturing team. This role will be instrumental in leading our production processes, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving production processes, coordinating all aspects of production scheduling, and overseeing the production team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the food manufacturing process to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Develop and implement production schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to meet established deadlines.
- Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Implement and manage production KPIs, ensuring that they align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new production processes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure necessary materials are available for production.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with production planning and scheduling.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of production management and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with software related to production management and scheduling.
- Detailed understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or other process improvement methodologies would be an advantage.
- Bilingual is strongly preferred.
