Nesco Resource is looking for an Esco Technician located in Waterbury, CT. This is a direct placement opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: 7am-3:30pm

Pay: Depending on Experience

Position Overview

The Esco Technician is responsible for setting up, calibrating, and maintaining Esco machinery to ensure peak performance and compliance with quality standards. This role requires interpreting technical blueprints, preparing necessary tools, and making precise adjustments to meet production needs.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Esco machines for production by installing required tools, dies, and fixtures.
  • Adjust machine settings based on blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct test runs to verify that machinery operates efficiently and produces parts within precise tolerances.
  • Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures tailored to each job.
  • Calibrate machines to maintain accuracy and consistency in part production.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machinery to maintain product quality and process efficiency.
  • Work closely with production supervisors and team members to coordinate seamless workflows.
  • Provide guidance and training to machine operators on proper setup and safe operation of Esco machines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine setups, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
  • Document any modifications or changes made during the setup process.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience setting up and operating Esco machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with in-depth knowledge of machine operations.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 30 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
