Verasonics is hiring a full-time IT Help Desk Specialist based out of Kirkland Summary The IT Help Desk Specialist is the first point of contact for all internal technical issues and supports all IT needs, designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems for Verasonics. They provide desktop, software, network, and hardware support to staff. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, a good communicator, with a customer support orientation, and enthusiastic about problem solving. Responsibilities Include: Help Desk Maintains and troubleshoots a wide range of hardware & software Performs hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed for pc's, Mac's (workstations & laptops) Tracks and maintains end user software licensing. As first and second tier help desk support, responds to user requests for software, hardware and network support. IT Support Tests and debugs programs, network and customer-bound data acquisition systems. Contacts software vendors to obtain specifications and pricing to guide in selection of software. Manages device management platforms and user training platform (KnowBe4) Monitors, maintains and updates company IT documentation IT Systems Engineering Installs, configures, tests and maintains operating systems, application software and system management tools Ensures the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Collaborates with clients, vendors, management and staff during the creation and maintenance of a system Engages quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational Assists IT Manager with developing a cost-efficient system for projects by performing a cost-benefit analysis Supports IT Manager in ensuring that the organization is operating at maximum efficiency Provides infrastructure support of all business applications Minimum Qualifications: BA or BS degree in IS/IT, computer science, network or computer engineering or equivalent experience 4 years of IT support experience in a complex IT environment 4 years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas: MAC, Linux & Windows OS environments; network and/or system administration Recent experience with MS Office 365, MS Server and Operating System Fundamentals Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining desktop/laptop hardware Skilled with device management platforms such as Intune and JAMF ```{html} ``` - A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information - Known for being detail & deadline-oriented and extremely reliable - Possess outstanding English verbal and written communication skills and be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions - Demonstrated technical capacity and initiative, problem-solving /analysis skills - Ability to work on-site in our Kirkland office Tuesday-Thursday Comprehensive Benefits Package: For regular employees (20 hours/week): Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, EAP, LTD, 401k with 3% employer Safe Harbor contribution, 15 days of Paid Vacation, 10 days of Paid Sick Leave, 10 Paid Holidays (1 of which is a floating day), educational reimbursement, and annual discretionary bonuses.
