JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin- Madison, Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is looking to add a cloud engineer to the Public Cloud Team within the Systems Engineering and Operations department. This position will work with the cloud team in the planning, design, deployment, and testing of foundational and reusable elements of multi-cloud (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)) provisioning and automation tools. The cloud engineer will consult distributed IT units, faculty, and the research community on networking, security, reliability, performance, monitoring, operations, processes, cost management, infrastructure as code (IaC), shared responsibility models, and well-architected frameworks. The Public Cloud Team is a group of cloud engineers who focus on learning the cloud platforms to aid and consult members of the University community in the design, security, and operations of cloud computing.
