Job Title: Chief of Defense Staff to the Affected Nation, NATO-JWCLocation: NATO Joint Warfare Center, Stavanger, NorwayCategory: ContractorsSummary:Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified Chief of Defense Staff to the Affected Nation to support NATO’s Joint Warfare Center’s (JWC) high priority exercises. JWC’s mission is to deliver high value exercises to NATO Command Structure and Force Structure entities and organizations in accordance with direction and guidance received from Allied Command Transformation (ACT) as well as SACEUR’s Annual Guidance for Exercise (SAGE) and the Military Training Evaluation Plan (MTEP). The provider will be required to develop, produce, deliver, and archive new settings and scenarios, and update/review and deliver existing settings and scenarios, to include necessary consultation that complements and supports the work carried out by JWC’s Scenario Branch.Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:Provide subject matter expertise in all Defense matters to realistically represent the Affected Nation's military position policy to the training audience in accordance with the exercise scenario.Provide expert advice and guidance on matters concerning the operational and strategic use of the Affected Nation's military.Ascertain that the training audience is exposed to a realistic, coherent Affected Nation joint military posture that aligns with all messaging.Coordinate military operational matters within the Affected Nation and EXCON team.Develop a basic Concept of Operations for the use of the Affected Nation's military assets in the conflict; if required, develop and present plans.Assist training audiences with initial planning stages by providing subject matter expertise and scenario representation to incorporate the Affected Nation Military position.Understand and analyze developing training audience plans and documentation and their impacts across Affected Nation Defense.Generate appropriate exercise material to provide a challenging and realistic problem set to the training audience in accordance with JWC guidance and management.Be familiar with the latest relevant NATO publications.Coordinate military "green" picture.Required Qualifications:A University/Bachelor’s Degree or Staff College with evidence of continuing professional education throughout career.Three (3) years of working experience within the last 10 years:Operating at senior staff level in a strategic or operational national, international or NATO headquarters.In briefing senior leaders/decision makers at the governance level in a National or Multinational environment.Achieved OF-6 Rank during Military career.Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (Standardized Linguistic Profile (SLP) 3333 – Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) or equivalent.Clearance:

Must possess an active NATO or U.S. SECRET or higher security clearance.Travel:

CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
