Position Overview

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk Role

  • Record and analyze financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Support payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.

Preferred Skills and Experience for the Accounting Clerk Role

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting or a related role is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
