Overview of the Accounting Clerk Role:
As an Accounting Clerk, you'll be an essential part of the team, managing daily financial tasks to ensure smooth operations. Key responsibilities for the Accounting Clerk include:
- Processing Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
- Distributing mail and ensuring correspondence reaches the appropriate departments.
- Making daily deposits and managing incoming funds.
- Reviewing vendor and tenant contracts, permits, and licenses for accuracy.
- Answering client calls and providing exceptional service.
- Processing tax-exempt forms and managing documentation.
- Handling chargebacks and group billing inquiries.
- Assisting with requests for proposals (RFPs) and ensuring timely responses.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar Accounting Clerk role, ideally with a background in customer service.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft is a plus!
- Basic proficiency in Excel for day-to-day tasks.
