**Safety and Security Coordinator****Job Details****Job Location**MCFI Main Campus - Milwaukee, WI**Position Type**Full Time**Education Level**High School Diploma, HSED or GED**Travel Percentage**Up to 25%**Job Shift**Day**Job Category**Facilities**Description****Job Purpose:** The Safety and Security Coordinator collaborates in developing, implementing, and monitoring the agencys security and safety plan. This position coordinates all phases of safety and security at CFI leased and owned properties and assists in incorporating those functions into the agencys overall operations.**Reporting Relationships****Reports To** : Facilities Manager**Direct Reports** : None**Essential Job Functions:**_(Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.)_+ Ensures that the CFIs main campus, CRCs, and Group Home facilities are secure and safe for all staff, patients, and visitors, including responding to security alarm calls during off hours.+ Provides oversight of functions involving monitoring systems, intrusion detection, and access control, including dissemination of keys and access cards, alarms, and inspections and replacement of related equipment.+ Acts as an agency point person for issues relating to security and safety, including law enforcement requests. Interacts with staff as a resource for addressing safety and security concerns during and after business hours.+ Conducts training drills for CFI staff, including fire evacuation, tornado warnings, bomb threats, and exercise drills as needed. Works with staff management to coordinate security and safety orientations, training, and drills.+ Conducts regular safety and security inspections at all CFI facilities, communicates with site managers regularly, and documents any identified deficiencies or suggestions for improvement.+ Secures premises and staff by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.+ Works collaboratively with leaders by making recommendations, offering suggestions, and accomplishing related results as needed, including actively participating in Safety Committee.+ Collaborates and coordinates with Information Technology regarding electronic access control, surveillance monitoring, and associated security hardware and software.+ Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policies and procedures.+ Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities and interviewing witnesses.+ Ensures all security related systems remain operational and takes appropriate action to remedy any failures quickly.+ Manages agency relationships with contracted security vendors.+ Assists in gathering evidence and documentation to prosecute violators through preparing affidavits and acts as a CFI representative within judicial systems, as required.+ Performs special assignments and/or projects as assigned**Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials:** _(Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)_**Minimum Required Education:** High School Diploma or GED**Minimum Required Experience:** Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field, including experience leading safety and risk programs.**Required License Certification Registration** : OSHA 30 certification preferred**Travel outside of office:** 25-30% travel in the communities we serve**Required Valid Drivers License:** Valid Wisconsin drivers license**Required Auto Insurance:** vehicle liability insurance in accordance with Agency policy**Knowledge Skills Abilities:**+ A knowledge of laws, regulations, practices, and methods relating to security, crime prevention, investigations, public safety, training, and emergency management practices.+ Working knowledge of rules and procedural matters affecting the functions of a security department, as well as knowledge of relevant security systems and equipment, such as electronic access control systems, security alarms, and security cameras.+ Ability to function independently and as a team member at all staff levels.+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. This includes the ability to write accurate and detailed reports.+ Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, including those with severe, persistent mental illnesses preferred.+ Intermediate skill level with MS computer software, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Security systems management preferred.+ Work with a high degree of organizational and interpersonal skills.+ Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of records and information.+ Ability to identify and solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.+ Ability to assume a leadership role in a crisis and deal with staff under stress.+ Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules.+ Access to reliable personal vehicle.**Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:****Physical Requirements** : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.**Visual Acuity** : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.**Working Conditions** : None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions._This is a general outline of the essential functions of this position and shall not be construed as an all-inclusive description of all work requirements and responsibilities that may be inherent in this position._ _The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by the designated work leader(s).
