Job Summary

The Extruder Helper supports the extruder operation by ensuring the correct materials are available and assisting the machine operator and assistant. Responsibilities include providing a steady supply of materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth operation during changeovers.

Shift: 2nd/ 2:45pm - 11:00pm

Key Responsibilities

1. Material HandlingEnsure the machine has the necessary raw materials.Call for materials as needed.Cut cores using a core cutter and prepare material splices.Monitor and manage liquid levels and viscosity checks.Handle resin blends and transport in-process materials.2. Machine Operation

Assist with machine start-up and shutdown.Operate core and roll handling equipment.Set trim knives, prepare doctor blades, and handle roll changes.Monitor and dispose of scrap material properly.3. Quality Control

Inspect materials for defects.Ensure proper labeling and flagging of materials.Maintain clean work areas and follow GMP standards.4. Administrative Tasks

Print production orders and monitor material usage.Complete required forms for resin traceability and maintenance.5. Safety and Housekeeping

Always wear required PPE and follow safety guidelines.Clean spills immediately and ensure waste materials are properly disposed of.Qualifications

Ability to read and follow production orders.Certified forklift operator.Basic computer skills (Lotus Notes).Knowledge of machine operations and resin blending.Able to work safely and follow safety protocols
