Job Summary
SECOND SHIFT 2:45PM - 11:06 PMTHIRD SHIFT 10:55PM - 7:06AM
Observes and/or performs the handling of all raw materials (resins, colors, corrugation, etc.) and finished goods being staged or produced for and by production. Helps maintain standard housekeeping in accordance with Third Party regulations. Assists with the operation of other downstream equipment under the direction of the Production Supervisor or an assigned person. In this position you may also assist with the packing of finished goods under the direction of the Production Supervisor (per Bottle Packer job description) or an assigned person.
Responsibilities and DutiesSECOND SHIFT 2:45PM - 11:06 PMTHIRD SHIFT 10:55PM - 7:06AM
Maintains raw materials (boxes, resins, tape, plastics bags, etc.) levels in production area.Stages raw material (resins, performs, boxes, bags, skids, etc.) for bottle packers and/or production equipment.Prepares finished goods for warehouse/inventory staging, per in-house procedures (this includes proper procedure for identification and/or inventory tags.)Identifies raw materials and prepares them to be returned to inventory per in-house procedures (this includes proper procedure for identification and/or inventory tags.)Bails all discarded corrugation at the end of the shift.Maintains a high degree of cleanliness in the production area in accordance with Third Party regulations.Assist with the operation of other downstream equipment under close direction of the Production Supervisor or an assigned person.Completes all machine cleaning tasks, color change outs and/or contaminated material clean outs on equipment.Set-up or removal of all secondary equipment for production (decorators, box erectors, tapers, etc.).Clears jams from equipment with no assistance.Assist co-workers where needed.Qualifications and Skills
Requires constant visual attention ability to discern flaws in materials and finished goods (containers).Material Handler must have positive attendance points to continue in the cross training programs.Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift up to 40 - 45 pounds above the head frequently and 45 - 50 pounds above the head occasionally.High school graduate or equivalent GED, and a demonstrated ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
