Job Details

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct analytical reviews of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.

Support accounting operations, including financial accounting, accounts payable, receivables, and month-end closing processes.

Perform month-end activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations for prepaids, accruals, taxes, other assets/liabilities, un-invoiced receipts, subsidiaries, and other assigned accounts.

Monitor, research, and resolve discrepancies and issues related to balance sheet accounts.

Assist in preparing financial reports in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

Support the payables process by reviewing accounts payable transactions to ensure timely and accurate invoice payments.

Manage customer invoicing and track outstanding receivables, ensuring payments are received as per agreed terms.

Oversee invoice management, including verification, approval, and reconciliation processes.

Reconcile and manage relationships involving dual customer/supplier roles.

Calculate rebates, discounts, and other revenue-related analyses.

Assist with analyzing departmental expense reports and other reports as needed.

Contribute to maintaining internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

Assist with quarterly and annual audit requirements.

Maintain and update a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations.

Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Develop and implement process improvements.

Create, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Participate in financial audits.

Handle ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.

Experience with mid to top-tier ERP systems.

At least three to five years of progressive experience in an accounting department with general ledger responsibilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy in data analysis.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with moderate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team across various departments.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary company information.
