We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This exciting role is focused on commercial property accounting within the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing financial activities related to our commercial real estate portfolio. This includes overseeing the general ledger (GL), accounts receivable (A/R), and year-end close processes. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals, with the chance to make a significant impact on our business.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Managing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  3. Supervising A/R activities, including invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.
  4. Overseeing the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger.
  5. Ensuring compliance with all commercial property accounting standards and regulations.
  6. Collaborating with the finance team to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  7. Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  8. Managing and developing a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial property accounting.
  3. Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proven experience in managing A/R, year-end close, and GL processes.
  5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  8. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
