**Must-Have:** Cerner experience; No first-time travelers; Must be willing to float

**Job Description:**

- Basic EKG interpretation test during orientation.- ICUs and ICU-CV Recovery units.- Unit has 24 beds, with the capacity to expand to 32 beds.- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2.- Intensivist available on the unit from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on-call after hours.- Additional certifications like IABP, CRRT, & ICP are a plus but not required.- Nurses use pagers linked to call light systems and internal Spectra Link phones.- Unit orientation includes two shifts on the unit and orientation to various areas for floating purposes.- No nurse aides; however, a charge nurse and support staff are present.- Nurses may have breaks including a half-hour clock-out break and three 15-minute breaks per shift.- Required to work every other weekend or equivalent of four weekend shifts in a four-week schedule.- Uniform consists of navy blue scrubs; undershirts must be navy, white, or black.- Telemetry monitoring is facilitated by 24/7 monitor techs, but nurses handle their own tele strips and readings.- Support from 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services within the hospital.- Case types include respiratory failure, sepsis, AMI, ARDS, GI bleed, CABG, TAVR, vascular surgeries, neuro surgeries, and CVAs.- Participation in multidisciplinary rounds is mandatory.- Responsibilities include administering all cardiac and vasoactive drips and conscious sedation.- Must be willing to float to any MedSurg/Tele units when needed.- Uses Cerner for charting and patient documentation.
