Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Reimbursement Officer for Children’s Accounts. Under general supervision, this position will perform a variety of professional reimbursement functions. The position will investigate and analyze reports and documents to determine initial and ongoing eligibility of Department youth in care for Social Security and Title IV-D benefits. The position will calculate conserved funds, reviewing, processing, and posting disbursements to the Trust System to generate payments consistent with Social Security regulations. The position will also identify case specific scenarios resulting in gaps in eligibility and overpayments. This position provides a great opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is interested in playing a role in the reimbursement process for the Department of Children and Family Services. Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with courses in accounting, economics, or business administration, preferably including courses in insurance, estate, and probate law
- Requires ONE year of work experience in the reimbursement field
