This position will serve on Service Desk team as Service Desk Technician providing 1st level support for end-users throughout the state. This person will work with customers on issues and requests submitted to the Service Desk and perform resolutions in alignment with the agency's specified goals, business practices, and initiatives. Escalates tickets to other IT areas that are designated for 2nd and 3rd level support. Provides input to the Section Team Lead, or Manager, on the effectiveness of end-user support system methods and procedures as part of the continuous service improvement initiative.
Job Duties:
Monitors tickets from call queues and ticket queues and provides solutions to service requests, providing the best end user customer service while adhering to all State, Agency, and Office standards, policies, and procedures.Communicates with customers to ensure issue resolution is to SLA and customer's satisfaction. Also performs end-user notifications for various IT activities and documents customer's responses.Proactive and timely resolution to tickets based on the severity of the issue. Serves as technical resource for end-users and resolves tickets while maintaining an accuracy rate within established department guidelines.Maintains technical knowledge and skills in a rapidly changing technical environment.Other duties as assigned.Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
