Position SummaryAs the Vice President of Sales, you will be in a key leadership role responsible for driving the strategic growth of the company’s sales operations. As a rapidly growing SaaS company, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic sales leader to scale revenue, expand market share, and forge long-lasting partnerships with our customers.

Salary range: $180 - $220K + commission

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring the sales team meets growth goals around profit, new market penetration, and market share.

Responsible for maintaining Cost of Sale and Long Term Value.

Provides leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the CRO, in implementing objectives that appropriately reflect Yes Energy’s values and business goals.

Designs, implements, and manages sales strategy and processes. Establishes and maintains high levels of quality, integrity, and process consistency in the sales organization.

Ensures planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts support and are appropriately integrated with other groups and the company's planning processes.

Responsible for equitably assigning territories, product and use case alignments, and sales goals to ensure Yes Energy’s customer retention, customer growth, and financial objectives are allocated correctly across the sales team.

Partners with Marketing, Product and Sales Team members to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. Fosters an ethic of continuous process improvement.

Prioritizes investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity. Works closely with the CRO to understand the sales technology strategy. Recommends changes and enhancements to the company technology stack when needed.

Works closely with leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success. Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities.

Ensures sales reports and other internal business intelligence is provided to the stakeholders. Helps develop new reporting tools as needed. Coordinates with leadership and other stakeholders to lead efficient and accurate sales reporting initiatives.

Works closely with leadership and People Operations, establishes a sales training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies. Prioritizes training objectives for selling, sales management, and sales support roles.

Works with People Operations and senior sales leadership, designs sales incentive compensation programs that provide market-competitive pay, reinforce sales organization strategy, and align with business and sales organization objectives.

Oversee sales compensation plan administration. Establish sales compensation program rules, policies, and procedures. Ensures sufficient resources are assigned to adequately administer sales compensation programs. Works closely with Accounting, Finance, and People Operations to establish policies, and procedures associated with sales compensation.

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 10 years of customer facing experience in a SaaS or B2B environment.

At least 5 years managing a sales team for SaaS or B2B companies.

Two or more years experience of sales focused account management.

Four or more years working in SaaS for Energy Markets.

Experience working with SalesForce is preferred.

Proven record of building a go-to-market strategy.

Track record of selling opportunities with annual value of $300K to C-level executives.

Experience monitoring and evaluating sales representative progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations.

Experience managing a team of at least 20 sales representatives.

Proven record of managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.

Ability to build and manage a territory structure based on geography, customer vertical, and/or use case alignment.

Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership.
