Job Summary:
The Junior Financial Analyst will support tax filings for global markets within the Stock Plan and Retirements business, with a primary focus on U.S. operations.
The role involves working with Client, Excel, and third-party tax programs to ensure accurate tax form generation and compliance with tax regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, tax/operations experience, and attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and collaborate effectively within a global team.
Key Responsibilities:Review and ensure the accuracy of 1099/1042-S reporting.Perform IRS and State withholding reconciliation tasks.Update Excel files to reflect accurate reporting values.Ensure participant data accuracy and secure necessary approvals for tax filings.Ensure all tax filings and reports for corporate clients and Client are issued accurately and on time.Conduct reviews to confirm the accuracy of IRS and State filings.Contribute to the annual tax production project plan to capture relevant tasks throughout the year.Perform testing on tax forms issued by Client to ensure accuracy through preliminary reviews.Manage special handling requirements for clients, including tax form amendments.Audit tax form generation to ensure all forms are completed for all clients.Provide project updates to the Tax Manager to ensure the success of tax activities.Update processes and procedures as required in the policy portal.Required Qualifications:
Strong Excel skills.At least 1 year of tax/operations experience.Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude.Familiarity with U.S. reporting requirements for global employee share plans.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.Ability to articulate issues clearly, both verbally and in writing, to aid swift resolution.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with employee share plans and tax production is advantageous.Comfortable with technology and technical concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Knowledge of global markets (Canada, U.S., Australia, U.K., New Zealand) and their respective tax regulations is a plus.A deep belief in team collaboration and adaptability to continuous change.
