Summary / Objective

The human resource coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations for all of the Sandcastle Homecare locations including the corporate headquarters.

Essential Functions

Understands all aspects of human resources in regard to human resources laws and regulations.

Manages the hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and job postings.

Manages the on/off boarding of office staff.

Communicates information to employees regarding benefits, leave of absence, and paid time off.

Manages staff benefits programs (Vacation/PTO, health benefits, 401k, etc.), including open enrollment, plan renewal discussions with broker, invoice auditing, and time off requests.

Ability to collaborate with external benefits brokers to administer and support employee inquiries and policy options.

Processes enrollment and cancellation of benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K).

Responsible for the administration of all aspects of the Workers’ Compensation Program: manage claims, light duty assignments, coordinate the return-to-work program to decrease losses and minimize costs.

Monitors Unemployment Claims by reviewing claims, responding, and providing documentation.

Responds to reference checks/verifications of employment.

Responds to subpoena requests.

Creates and modifies job descriptions.

Maintains confidentiality of personnel files and actions.

Generates official internal documents such as offer letters and promotion letters.

Submits electronic WOTC applications.

Works alongside the Payroll team to handle compensation questions/issues.

Leads training programs for staff to encourage better performance and retention.

Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.

Meets with managers to discuss recent workplace incidents and determine a plan of action going forward.

Takes appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addresses employee grievances.

Possesses good working knowledge and demonstrated ability utilizing systems, tools, and procedures to accomplish the job.

Pay:

$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
